THE TORTISE, THE TIGER AND THE HAWK part-2

here because of an important thing that is in the entire history of our land No hunter has ever hunted a tiger, and i believe this fact is a discredit to our great land. i am here to suggest that the king should organize a hunting competition and that should promise that anyone who is able to slay a tiger will get half his kingdom". upon hearing this the king called his chief adviser to seek his opinion, after a short disscusion the king and his adviser agreed that tortise was right and his suggestion of a competition is a very good one. the king then made the towncrier tell everyone about the upcoming hunting competition, tortise was so happy about this new development and indicated his intrest in paticipating and the king permited him to participate in the competion, he thanked the king and left the palace having a plan in mind. but the hawk who have also heard the news of the hunting competition had other plans in
mind. when tortise got home that night he made his gun and other hunting materials ready. he could sleep and was anxiously waiting for the next day which is the competition day, finally morning came slowly and tortise was the first to get to the palace where the contestants are expected to assemble before the competition begin, after all the other contestant arrived the competition began, and all went in search of a tiger to slay, while others where wandering in the forest tortise knew exactly
where to search, he just went to the spot where he buried the tiger he tricked to death, he uncovered the dead tiger and shot it twice and shouted for joy" Heee Heee!! everybody come Ooo" immediately everybody around came to tortise to find out was but they were suprised to find a dead tiger on the ground and a smiling tortise proudly standing on it, they started congratulating tortise, just then the hawk flew down from the top of a tree and accused tortise of stealing the dead tiger from him. this lead to a serious argument between tortise and hawk. when the king heard about everything he said he would not give the tortise nor the hawk any gift as he has promised, because he does not know who really killed the tiger. tortise went home that day very sad, he then determined to teach the hawk a lesson in a hard way. two days later
he told his wife to wrap him in a leaf and put him in a calabash and take the calabash to hawk's house and she should tell hawk that "my husband travelled yesterday and said you should please keep this kolanuts for him" tortise' wife did as she was told and the hawk foolishly accepted the calabash.
at night tortise silently crawled out of the calabash when hawk and his wife were discussing then hawk's wife asked hawk who really killed the tiger?
he confessed to his wife that it was tortise that really killed the tiger , on hearing this,tortise crawled silently out of the house without their notice.
days later, the hawk decided to play another trick on the tortise to know what he was thinking, he then told his wife to wrap him in a calabash and take him to tortise's house and say "please my husband has travelled and he asked me to give this corn to you because he wants you to keep it for him", understanding the kind of game the hawk is trying to play with him, the tortise accepted the calabash with a smile on his face, after hawk's wife left, he ordered his wife to boil some water for him. soon the water began to boil, his wife said him "my lord, the water is boiling what are you going to do with this hot water?" "eat part of hawk's corn of course" tortise replied, immediately hawk shouted from the calabash "it's not corn it's me hawk" tortise ignored him and poured the hot water on hawk and the hawk died instantly.......watchout for the next story

THE TORTISE, THE TIGER AND THE HAWK part-1

once upon a time, there live a tortise called udo, due to his age and meditation udo was a very wise animal and very cunning. in his area there lived a greedy hawk and a tiger who was very arrogant, and thought he was better than every other animal because of his size and his hunting prowess. one day udo the tortise decided to teach this bully a lesson.
early in the morning he went to his farm and picked many small snails, when he fried the snail,he added some spices to make it have a nice aroma. after frying he packed the fried snail in his pocket, he left his house for a tree nearby the forest where he knew the tiger loved to relax. he sat there and began to eat the snails one by one and the aroma of fried snail filled the air. before long tiger came around to relax as usual but when percieved the aroma he became restless and his mouth began to water he wanted a taste. after sniffing air for some time there he found tortise enjoying his snack, he then walked up to him and said"hey little guy what are you eating? because i want a taste of it " then tortise smiled a little knowing that his plan is working, he replied and said "my eye balls" "what!!!" tiger yelled." you can't be serious how can you eat your own eyeballs and have them back?" tortise smiled and said after sniffing the air for some time there he found tortise enjoying his snack, he then walked up to him and said"hey little guy what are you eating? because i want a taste of it " then tortise smiled a little knowing that his plan is working, he replied and said "my eye balls" "what!!!" tiger yelled." you can't be serious how can you eat your own eyeballs and have them back?" tortise smiled and said i can't believe that as old and arrogant as you are you still don't know that eyeballs are the sweetest snacks in the world and moreover when you remove your eyeballs another pair pops out within seconds replacing the ones you removed , what a shame you don't know and you are missing a lot"tortise said this putting another snaij in his mouth to make tiger more desperate to get a taste of the eyeballs, tiger said " OK can i get a taste at least? NO, tortise said, you can't eat other people's eyeballs, you can only eat yours. tiger said "tortise can you help me remove my eyeballs? but before that are sure anothe set will pop out?" YES tortise said, "mine are proof, i have removed them many times and it continues to pop out" having convinced tiger he said "when i start helping you remove your eyeballs, you must not scream because i hate noise" tiger agreed and said please make it snappy tortise was overjoyed to hear tiger give him the go ahead to teach him a bitter lesson. tortise ran into the bush with lighting speed and soon came back with a pair of sharp, long palmfond, he then told tiger to keep calm because the operation will soon begin. tiger obeyed and kept quiet, instantly tortise struck the palmfonds into his left eye and the eyeball was extracted. tiger screamed because he was now in great pains. tortise just hissed and said you enjoy feasting on other animals without considering their pains too. OK sorry if you are feeling pains its because of the other eye as soon as i remove it you won't feel a thing. tortise said with a smile on his face, he struck the palm fonds into the right eye and it ball just fell out of the eye and tiger screamed again. tortise now told tiger its now time for your new eyeballs to come out, but you have to run round this bush 3icethen, tiger started to run around like a mad dog, as he was running the second round he hit his head on a huge tree and died instantly. tortise having accomplished his mission bursted out in wild laughter and started singing and dancing at the same time. he later gathered some dried leaves and covered tigers dead body with it and left for the king's palace. unknown to tortise HAWK his jealous neiboughor had been watching his drama all the while.
when tortise got to the palace, he postrated him self and greeted the king. the king suprised to see the tortise, then said " why are you paying me this suprise visit O tortise? then tortise replied saying "Great king of our land the next to the gods i am
